The following W ar Tax on Parcels Post is effective December 1st, 1917, and is payable by a w ar revenue stam p to be affixed at the time of m a iling by the sender. “On parcel post subject to 25 cents post­ age the tax is 1 cent. “On parcels on which the postage am o u n ts to from 26 to 50 cents the tax is two cents each, and so on.” Postage stam p s are not valid for this tax and no parcels will be transported until this tax is paid on same.
