Bound in attractive book form with a white cover and ajso supplied in paper binding, the title page bears the in- scription \A Uttle book prepared Ijy •yo.ung people wijo have found pleasure in relating their experi- ences.\ Ediior-m-cbief of the new \Scribblers\ is Helen Youles, with the following on the editorial staff: Charles Klumpp, Roma Jane Colton, Ross Arnett, David Whipple, George Becker, Mary Lou Tucker, Helen Satkowski, Jeanne McKane, Robert Waters, Glen Corser and Gloria Gutten- burg. Art advisor of the publication is Mrs. Raymond Gorman, in- structor of drawing, and sponsor Miss Carol H. *lail, of the English department, to whom a large part of the success of the \Scribblers\ is necessarily due in the compila- tion of the many short stories, sonnets, couplets, and other liter- ary efforts of the English classes. That the \Scribblers\ magazine is not a publication edited for gain was emphasized by Miss Hall at the Medina High School yesterday afternoon who revealed that the cost of publishing 850 volumes had been defrayed by the sale of refreshments at football games during the fall. The proceeds from these games, said Miss Hall, have effset the loss which would other- wise ensue through the cost of printing. Eight hundred and fifty copies of the \Scribblers\ were received during the week, of which num- ber only fifty were reported on hand yesterday afternoon. Old-timers recall that there were not so many books on child-raising in their early days as there are now. But there were more wood- sheds. i.. t mtv Although a nesident for but the past six years, Ealph WTtlte, Act- ing New Buslne's# Manager of the Niagara-Hudson JPower Co., with office in the Cook Building, is one pf Medina's most PJopiHar young executives. r .
