W. C. A., which is located 10 miles west of Olcott on the lake and which offers many op- portunities for girl scouts and -campers. Mrs. Emil A. Johns of 30 Hamil- ton Blvd., Kenmore, who will be general supervisor of the camp this year, met with Medina council and camp committee members this week and outlined the advantages of the camp. Registration in the camp must be made by May 15 and the last tw o weeks in July have been reserved for Medina Girl Scouts who are desirous of attending camp there. Equipped with four screen cabins for young- er scouts and comfortable accomo- dations for older scouts, the camp offers a variety sports and is pre- pared to guide then in their regu- lar scout program. The camp has 675 foot frontage on the lake, has a large adminis- tration building and dining and re- creation hall with fireplace which is open on two sides to the lake. Senior councilors at the camp will be teachers and college graduates and college students will act as junior councilors. In regular at- tendance will be- a registered nurse, a licensed life guard and assistant. A raft, flat-bottomed boats and canoes will be open to use under the supervision of the lifeguards and swimming and swimming in- struction will also be available, also with the lifeguard In attend- ance. Other sports available will be softball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, croquet, arch- ny, rlflery, golf and horseback Mrs. Arlo Whiting over the week end.
