Tour of Bi g Estates Offered As a Benefit For Multi ple Sclerosis Superb gardens , a unique is- land home , authentic early Amer- icana and rare inland water land- scaping will all be offered the gardener and the antiques en- thusiast on June 6 , from 10 a. m, to 5 p. m., when four Long Is- land estates will be opened for a tour of gardens and homes. The tour , to concentrate on ex- clusive areas in Islip and Bay Shore , is under the sponsorship of the Suffolk County Chapter , National Multiple Sclerosis So- ciety, in the nationwide Crystal Anniversary Drive. The outstanding gardens of \Twyford\ , owned bv Mr . and Mrs. Charles D. Webster , depict the personal preferences of its re- nowned owners who are presi- dents respectively of the New York Horticultural Society and the Garden Clubs of America. This estate is located in Islip. Another Islip estate , Mr . and Mrs. Gerard Hallock' s \Pleasure Island\ , is an island home , com- plete wi th rustic footbridge con- nected with the mainland. In Bay Shore , there is \Sagti- kos Manor \ , built in 1692 and noted for its antique furnishings. Visited after the Revolution by George Washington , \Sagtikos Manor \ has been in the posses- sion of the Gardiner family since it was built and is presently own- ed by Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. L.
