The seventh year of marriage has had the reputation of being the crucial or dangerous one. And the \itch\ in the title refers to the particular discomfort that may attack some vulnerable husbands at that time. Richard Sherman is just such a husband when his wife and child desert him for the country while he works in the hot city. A lovely girl becomes Richard' s new neighbor and changes ( his status of faithful husband. Of no hel p to Richard in his dilemma are the other women in his life , his \dream \ girls , who constantl y taunt his imagination. The advice of Dr. Brubaker , a v psychiatric expert in the art of love , does nothing to mollify Richard' s guilt feelings , especially when he appears at the worst pos- sible moments. A possible rival for his wife ' s affections helps bring Richard to his senses when he realizes that he care s for his wife after all. Fortunately for all , the rage of the \itch\ subsides as Richard dis- covers his true love. The cast is headed by Hugh Mercer , who plays the errant hus- band , and Rosa White , who por- trays the girl. Joanne Munhofen is the wife and Jack Adams her admirer. Ed Sayre has the role of the humorous psychiatrist. The dream girls are p layed b y Lucille Politanski , Elaine Hendrie , Diane Eisler and Marge Feeney. The son , Ricky, is p layed by Lee Paige and the conscience voices are sup- plied by Bill and Ruth Reynolds. Peggy Suydam directs the p lay. Ruth and Bill Reynolds are the producers and Sylvia Springhorn is the stage manager. Nancy Ljundqvist and Emily Gibson are co-chairmen of the prop crew consisting of Kay Hart- Eve Snedeker , Sherry Christo- phersen , Mary-Alice Borg, Sy lvia Norton. County Board Votes 8-1 to Continue Survey The Board of Supervisors Mon- day voted to continue the survey of county government by author- izing County Executive H. Lee Dennison to hire a firm to under- take a study of electronic data processing equipment needed by the various county departments. The vote was 8 to 1 , with South- ampton Supervisor Step hen F. Meschutt casting the lone negative vote. Mescnuu said he felt the companies now supplying the county with computing equipment could themselves make the study at a cheaper cost. Shelter Island Supervisor Evans Griffing was ab- sent from the meeting. The consulting firm of Booz- Allen and Hamilton recentl y com- pleted a study of administrations and operations of county depart- ments at a cost of $35 , 000. That survey, which generall y recom- mended modernization of various departments , also urged the county to study its needs for electronic computing equi pment. Monday, the board authorized Mr. Dennison to contract with the firm of John Diebold and Associ- ates , Inc., of Manhattan , \for the conduct of a full-scale feasibility study, to enable a decision to be made regarding the future of electronic data processing in Suf- folk government. \ The total cost is not to exceed $9 , 500. The reso- lution also authorized the firm to consult with the county comp- troller ' s office and the department of public welfare , regarding in- terim rental of data machinery. Mr. Dennison said the ultimate aim will be to have a central electronic data processing equip- ment pool for use of all depart- ments.
