Gordon Heights Board of Fire Commissioners has completed and turned over to the fire department the first in a series of fire wells to be constructed in the dstrict. Fire chief Melvin VanNoy was happy to accept the three thousand gallon cistern for the department and the community. The board ap- pointed Rupert Jemmott to super- vise the construction work. The Rev. Josep h McKenzie of Bethel AME Zion Church of Se- tauket was the guest speaker at 8 p. m. Sunday at the Commu- nit y Baptist Church brought his junior choir. Missionary was in charge of Mrs. W. H. Powell , pre- sident. At the Ebenezer Sabbath Day Church , services are as follows : Sabbath school at 11 a. m., follow- ed by divine worship at 1 p. m.
