NOTES ON NUPTIALS J AMS—MILLER The marriage of Miss Ann Elizabeth Miller , daughter of Mr. and - Mrs. Milton Miller of 64 Huntington Drive , Mastic Beach , to Mark Janis , son of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Janis of 46 Chichester Avenue , Center Moriches , took place at 2 p. in.. June 11 at the Linden mere Hotel in Center Moriches , with Rabbi Reuben Blum officiating. Given in marriage by her par- ents , the bride was attired in a white silk organza ballet-length gown with the full skirt embroi- dered with small White roses. Her small headpiece was a halo of seed pearls and she carried a sweetheart bouquet of roses and lil' y-of-the-vallev with a whi te or- chid centerpiece. Mrs. Louise Janis of East Quogue , a sister-in-law of the bridegroom , was matron-of-honor and she wore a white linen sheath dress embroidered with small blue flowers. Ted Janis of Exist Quogue , a brother of the bridegroom , was best man. A reception for 50 gu ests was held imimediately following the ceremony at the Lindenmere Hotel. Mrs. Janis graduated from Wil- liam Floyd High School , class of '61 and is also a gradu ate of the Banford Academy of Beauty Cul- ture of New York City. She is| emp loyed at Frances Beauty Sa«- Ion in Eastport . Mr. Janis is a graduate of the' Center Moriches High School class of '58 and is presentl y a senior at Brooklyn College -of Pharmacy. Mr. and Mrs. Janis have taken up residence on Chichester Ave- nue in Center Moriches. HENDERER—TOWLE St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church in Center Moriches was the scene of a Summer wedding When Miss Virginia Ann Towle , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Towle , iSr., of Stackyard Drive , Mastic Acres , became the bride of Charles E. Henderer of Fort Way- ne , In d., son of Mr. and Mrs. Char- les E . Henderer , Sr., of Elmont , at a nuptial mass at 11 a. m. Satur- day. The Rev. Matthew Wisniew- ski performed the double ring ceremony before the altar banked with bouquets . of white gladioli and • chrysanthemums. Given in miarnage by her father , the bride wore'a white \ full-length gown of hand-clipped Chantilly lace - and French tulle. The fitted bodice , was styled with long slee- ves and a Sabrina neckline ap- p liqued with tiny seed pearls. The front of the bouffant skirt had two tiers of French tulle and Chantilly lace and the back cas- caded into a chapel train. Her crown of Chantilly lace was at- tached to a pure silk illusion fing- ertip veil and she carried a cas- cade bouquet of stephanotis and ivy with a double orchid corsage center. Mrs. Louis Strebel , J r., of Cen- ter Moriches , a siste r of the bride , was matrbn-of-honor. She was at- tired in fc floor-length aqua gown of pure silk or&anza . The fitted Chantilly lace bodice had a scoop neckline and short sleeves. Silk or- ganza rose puffs adorned the back of the gown at the waistline fol- lowed by ruffled tiers of silk or- ganza. She wore a matching crown of silk ofg ' ahza rose puffs and car- ried a cascade bouquet of. yellow roses and . daisies. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Jane Rolston and Miss Carolyn Cova ' is , both of Richmond Hill. Their floor-length pink and lilac gowns of pure silk organza were made - like the matron-of-honor ' s. They Wore matching crowns of silk organza rose puffs and carried cas- cade bouquets of pink and lilac- roses and daisies. Laurie Towle of Miller Place , a niece of the bride , was flower g irl. She was dressed in a full-length pale yellow embroidered silk or- ganza gown over taffeta. She wore a wreath of aqua daisies and carried a basket - of yellow and aqua roses and daisies. Nicholas Panno of Elmont , a brother-in-law of the bridegroom , was best man. The ushers were Raymond Towle of Miller Place and , Clifford Towle , J r., of Center M .oriches , brothers of the bride. - The famil y pews were decorated with ribbon streamers and snap- dragons. Mrs. Ernest Vigliotta played the organ and sang \Ave IVBaria \ and \Panj s Angelicus. \ A reception for 125 guests was held at the Sunrise Restaurant in Center Moriches where a buffet luncheon was served. Music for dancing was furnished by Pete Mezzapelle ' s band. The couple left for Fort _ Wayne , Ind., where they will reside. Mrs. Henderer graduated from William Floyd High School , class o f i'0$O , and \vas employed by Se- curity 'National Bank in Center Moriches. Her husband graduated from St. Augustine ' s Hig h School in Brook- lvn and graduated from Technical Trade School , Pressman ' s Home , Tenn. He is employed by the Gen- eral ERrinting Com pa try in Fort Wayne. HEGGE—PEZOLD Miss Marjorie Arielle Pezold , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Pezold of New Hyde Park , be- came the bride of Frederick Wil- liam Hegge , son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hegge of Bayport ^ve- nue , Bayport at 3 p. m. Saturday They are on a 10-da y wedding trip in the southern states and upon their return will reside at 90 Morningside Drive , New York City. MILLER—STEVENSON Miss Agnes Stevenson , daug hter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Steven- son , Sr., of 113 Bailey Avenue , Patchogue , became the bride of Richard Miller , formerly of Fon- Du-Lac , Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Miller of Fon-Du-Lac , at 2 p. m. June 3 in the Patchogue Congregational Church. The Rev. Harold R. Coleman officiated. Given in miarriage b y her father , the bride were a l ' h or-ier.gt : white lace full skirled gown with a high necked bodice and long sleeves. Her fingerti p veil was at- tached to a seed pearl crown and she carried a white gardenia trim- med with stephanotis on a small white prayer book. Mrs. Bruce MacLeod of Patch- ogu e was matron-of-honor. Her floor-length gown of romance blue organza was made with a full skirt and she wore a small match- ing headpiece. She carried a bou- quet of yellow roses and stephan- otis. in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in New Hyde Park. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. A. Kortrey of New Hyde Park amidst baskets oi* white Summer flowers. The wedding mu- sic was played by Mrs. William Hees of New Hy de Park. The bride , who was escorted to the altar by her father , wore a cocktail-length gown of white Sum- mer taffeta made with a fitted bodice , having white daisy app li- ques at the neckline and through- out the bouffant skirt. Her finger- tip veil was attached to a pearl Cap and she carried a bouquet of white daisies. The maid-of-honor was Miss Irene Petrovich of Jackson Heights who wore a cocktail length gown of li g ht blue taffeta having short sleeves and a bouffant skirt. Hei headpiece was a pearl cap with attached short veil and she carried a bouquet of white daisies and blue cornflowers. The best man was the bride ' s brother, George Pezold of New Hyde Park. Ushers were William Hess , a cousin of the bride , of New Hyde Park , and William Lauer , a cousin of the bridegroom of Comtmack. The reception was a garden par- ty held at the home of the bride in New Hyde Park for about GO guests. The bride graduated from Se- wanhaka Hi gh School and Hofstra College wiMi an Art major. The bridegroom is a graduate of B r a ypf.o v t-Blue Point High School and Hofstra College with a major in P yschology. He also •seived for four years in the Coast Guard, Mr. Hegge is attending Columbia Graduate School of Pys- chology in New York and is an assistant at Barnard College in New York City. Mrs. Hegge is an art teacher in New York . Thomas Stevenson , Jr., a broth- er of the bride , was best man. The ushers were Robert and Wil- liam Stevenson , brothers of the bride. A reception for 05 guests was held at Whirlaway ' s Inn on Bay Avenue Patchogue. Mi* , and Mrs. Miller spent sev- eral days in New York City. They are residing at 23 Gerard Street , Patchogue. Everyone looks forward to it. So far , the cauliflower crop is not plentiful on the market h; .it we always have the frozen var- iety. And the cauliflower is com- ing even if it might he a little late. It' s such a versatile vegetable - it' s even marvelous in pickles. Speaking of pickles , have you ever noticed how the guests al- ways spear the cauliflower out of the sweet mixed pickles - or mus- tard pickles the minute they are on the table ? So why not make a batch of cauliflower pickles and everyone will be satisfied. As soon as caul- iflower really \ gets going \ we ' ve j an extra special recipe that really features cauliflower. And it' s an old , old reci pe that has come down in a family. Here ' s another way to dress up this delightful vegetable. Make a cheese sauce and pour over the cauliflower. Then garnish on the top with crumbled potato chips. You 'll be surprised by the de- lightfully different taste. Cheese Sauce 2 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons butter Blend together , Add 1 ' :: cups milk Cook until smooth , then add 1 cup cheese (grated or diced) ' _ ¦ teaspoon salt ' - teii. -peon pepper Conk until smooth , Be careful not to burn . Pour over cauliflower which has been placed in a greased casserole. Top with crumbled potato chips (a . -mail package will do) and put in oven until a light brown.
