AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY The monthly meeting of the William Merritt Hallock Unit 155 of the American Leg ion Auxiliary was held at the clubhouse on Church Street June 21. Mrs. Rob- ert McCabe , president, opened the meeting by paying tribute to past presidents. She presented each of them with a gift. She then gave a brief report on the luncheon and meeting of the Suffolk County committee of the Ladies ' Auxiliary of the American Legion which was held June 17 in Bronco Charlie ' s Restaurant in Oakdale. This month the luncheon was in honor of the Gold Star Mothers of Suf- folk County. Winners of the Poppy Poster contest sponsored by the auxiliary were : first prize , James McRae , grade six , Gatelot Avenue School; second prize , Robin Roettinger , grade six , Gatelot Avenue School; first prize , Suzanne DeLong, grade five.
