Y., will start your paper with the next edition. — Adv Tawn Board Discusses Sale Offer for Hotel Members of the Brookhaven Tow n Board discussed this week the recent offer for the town to buy the 51-room Patchogue Hotel for $210 , 000 , but no decision one v dy or the other was taken by the board members. Persons favoring purchase ol the hotel by the town point out that there is a possibility that Supi eme Court and District Court chambers will be located in Pat- chogue with the continuing growth of the western end of Suffolk County At the June 27 town board meeting Hany T. Weeks , execu- tive \ ice president of the Pat- chogue Chamber of Commerce and Edward Mitchell , director of the Merchants Dhision of the Pat- chogue Chamber , endorsed the offer to the town made by Teddy Blau , Patchogue real estate biok- er. Mr. Blau s*u d he had previously offered the building to the county , but was turned down. He argued the structure would make a fine municipal building for an expand- ing Brookhaven Tow n and that the county could make use of the present tow n hall on South Ocean Avenue. Sunday marked the fifteenth an- nual trip by the Girl Scout Camp Edey summer counseling staff to Montauk Point. A bus ride from the camp ' s 260 acre lakeside setting in Baypoit to the eastern tip of the Island was highligl ted by commf .its to the crew by its skipper , Miss Eleanor M. H< ster. The bus stopped at East Hamp- ton so the girls could see items of histoi ical and current interest. The purpose of this trip was to conclude the pre-camp training period of the past week with a \Scouts ' Own , \ an insp irational program. 0\ er 200 Girl Scout campers started the Summer sea- son Monday at the Bayport site. After a picnic supper the group visited the top of the ligh thouse and went on a beachcombing ex- pedition. Tl e group then assembl- ed atop a sandy r cliff overlooking the ocean at sunset. There was a moment of quiet as the song leader began the appropriate \Sounds of the Ocean \ written by a former Edey counselor. The theme of the \Scouts ' Own \ was \World Peace and Interna- tional Friendship. \ Nine staff members from representative areas of this country—New Orleans , La. , Massachusetts , Washington , D. C , Ohio and California and other countries , Egypt , China and Can- ada , gave their wish for peace , fir&t in the language of their country, then in English. Esther Bilhorn , RN , of John T. Mather Memorial Hospital demonstrates technique for putting out fire that started in hospital bed—using model. This demonstration was one of many at institute on hospital patient ev acuation and fire fighting technique held in Bay Shore June 22. Representatives of nine area hospitals attended . BAY SHORE—An interesting and constructive institute on hos- pital patient evacuation and fire fighting technique was held in the Old Sears Roebuck Building, Bay Shore , June 22. Conducted by a fire safety spe- cialist , Lt. Robert McGrath , the day-long institute was sponsored by the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council , Inc., with Southside Hos- pital , Bay Shore , acting as host. Nine Nassau-Suffolk hospitals participated by sending nursing and administrative personnel to witness the latest techni ques in hospital fire prevention and pa- tient evacuation. They saw spec- tacular demonstrations of the way to extinguish actual bed fires , the proper method of carrying pa- tients and the correct way to use all types of fire fighting appara- tus. Lt. McGrath is a nationally rec- ognized expeit on hospital fire prevention. His book , \Emergency Removal of Patients and Fire- fighting in Hosp itals \ , is an ac- knowled ged textbook on the sub- ject and he has conducted hospital fire-safety institutes in more than 200 cities from coast to coast. C. William Wesselhoft , second assistant chuaf of the Bay Shore Fire Department , also spoke. Among those attending from Southside Hosp ital were : H. F. Rudiger and Joseph J. Potorski , administrator and assistant admin- istrator; Miss Jane S. Nash , RN , director of nursing; Mrs. . Eugenie Jones , RN , educational director of nursing; Mrs. Edith Rosner , RN Mrs. Nedra Poehlman , RN , and Mrs. Beverly Smith , RN. Other partici pating hospitals were : Good Samaritan Hospital , West Islip; Southampton Hospital , Southampton ; John T.
