AND AUX. The Blue Point Fire Department will be hosts to the volunteer fire- men of the Brookhaven Town Ra- cing Teams Captains Association at a parade and drill Saturday. The parade will commence at the intersection of Park S.reet and Blue Point Avenue at 10:30 a. m. will proceed down Blue Point Ave- nue to Middle Road , and alone Middle Road to Corey ^ Avenue and the grandstands in the parking - lot of the new Brookhaven Town Beach. The old-fashioned drill will be- gin at 1 ^: *i0 p. m. and wi'l include no mechanized equipment. The six contests will be as follows: the three-man ladder , individual lad- der , running hose , cart hose re- placement , and efficiency and buc- ket brigade. Fourteen departments are expected to take part. Ex- elu ' ef Richard Berg of Blue Point is chairman of the affair. GOLDEN AGE CLUB The Golden Age Club of Blue Point met July 11 at the firehouse with Mrs. Herbert George , presi- dent , presiding. Final plans were made for the Clam Bake which will be held August 20 starting at 3 p. m., in the Domino Yacht Club. There will be a choice of chicken or lob- ster. There will be no regular month- ly meeting on July 24 of the Ha- german Civic and Taxpayers As- sociation. The next meeting will be held Au gust 28 in the Hager- man Fire House. HAGERMAN FIRE DEPT. Fred Kelly, Hagerman fire chief , announced that a bazaar will be held from August 18 through 21 on the Hagerman fire house grounds at Montauk Hig hwa y and Dunton Avenue , East Patchogue. There will be many booths includ - ing one with stuffed toys , refresh- ment stands and , for the small fry, kiddie rides. August 20 , a clam bake will be held on the premises starting a , t 5 p. m. Come feast on clams , bar- becued chicken , vegetables , water- melon and other refreshments. Children are free if their parents attend. Tickets are available now. Eig hteen fire departments with ladies ' auxiliar- ies and bands will partici pate. Hagerman Fire District ambu- lance answered 8 calls in June and others since the ambulance was first put into operation in April. July figures not yet available.
