Brookhaven hamlet. A pp licants are Gary Gig ho and Vincent Morabito of 40 Medford Avenue , Patchog.ie. Joseph S. Coi bett , zoning board chanman , said the application had been advertised in a local news- paper as a \ go-kart track. \ He said the reference is not entirel y con ec t , for go-kait suggests the \ noisy \ vehicle. He said the ve- hicles to be used have been called \ concession karts , \ because they hav e mufflers and therefore make a concession to persons opposed to go-karts for their noise. Among the 20 applications which will be considered today is an app lication by Newell Theatre Corp., of Merrick , for permission to build an indoor theatre seating t'10 pei sons on Sunrise Highway about 102 feet west of Pine Street , Patchogue. The application of Port Jeffer- son Kart Wheels , Inc. of Home- stead Road , Port Jefferson , for pei mission to establish and oper- ate a concession-kart track \for amusement only \ will also be con- sidered. The track will be located on Port Jefferson-Nesconset Hig h- way about 788 feet east of Ciys- tal Brook Hollow Road , Mt. Sinai. OK Width Variance At the July 13 hearing the board granted a width variance to the Fust Congregational Church of New Village , Lake Grove, in order to build a church on the west side of Eliot Avenue , ap- proximately 1 , 600 feet west of Route 25, Centereach. The church gained title to a road 50 feet in width and extending 100 feet from Eliot Avenue into the sevcn-acie tract on which the church plans to build its structure. Under C residence zone re- quirements a 75-foot fiontage is required , but the zoning; board gave a variance of 25 feet to per- irait the church to use the road as a driveway. The board also approved for two years a nine-foot front yard variance for VFW Post 6249 of Rock y Point , which intends to build a clubhouse on the north- east corner of King and Garland Roads . Rocky Point. The D resi- dence zone requires a front yard of 30 feet. Mr. Corbett said the board recommended the post app ly to tow n board for a zoning change. The board granted two-years ' permission to Mrs. Kathleen Mas- lello of Aster Avenue , Holtsviile , to establish a day nursery at her large home. She will care for children from two to five years of age. Mil - . Corbett said there was no opposition to the app lica- tion.
