Harris of Sanderson , Tex., and the late Mr. Harris , at a nuptial mass at 11:30 a.m. July 29 in St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church , Patchogue. The Rev. F. Leo Cun- ningham officiated. Escorted to the altar by her fa- ther , the bride wore a Chantilly lace sheath gown with mist taf- feta , and having a detachable train. Her four-tiered veil was held by a crystal crown. A cas- cade of stephanoti s and carnations covered the bridal missal carried b y the bride. Mrs. Vivian Del Gaizo of Pat- chogue was matron-of-honor. She wore a princess style gown of wh i te crystaline over taffeta and a rhinestone tiara with pink veil- ing. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and carnations. Sergeant Vernon D. Thomas of North Carolina was best man and there were seven Marine Honor Guards from the Garden City Unit. A reception was held at The Patchogue Hotel and dinner was served at 2 p. m. A canopy was over the bridal table at which the Honor Guard was also seated. Gerard McCarthy, a family friend , gave a special toast and song for the couple. The bride sang two solos. At the conclusion of the re- ception the Honor Guard gave the Marine Corps salute to the bride ' s parents. The bride and the bridegroom iriet in Iceland when the bride was with the Civil Service there and where the bridegroom was sta- tioned. The bride sang at the Rek- javik , Iceland , Cathedral on Sundays. She had also appeared at many of the American base shows in Iceland. After a month' s wedding trip which will include Canada , Texas and North Carolina , the bride- groom will be stationed at Camp LeJeune , N. We finally decided on one for Chocolate Souffle because choco- late is a favorite with so many people. It' s an elegant dessert , just suited to Summer time, and is as fluff y as a cloud and tastes like ambrosia. ^Stepping aside from the dessert idlea — have you noticed that new crop of local greenings is beginning to come in —- you know , the ones that are like the trans- parents—and luscious homeg rown tomatoes , corn , and a dozen other vegetables aie making the Summer months good months to \ eat in. \ As for us there is noth- ing in the world like a good local tomato; use them in dozens of ways and you 'll still enjoy them. The recipe for Chocolate Souf- fle is an easy one to follow , make it this weekend. CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour % cup milk 2 squares bitter chocolate % cup sugar 2 tablespoons hot water 3 eggs (separated) Vz teaspoon vanilla Make cream sauce. Melt choco- late and add sugar and water and stir until smooth. Combine mix- ture and add yolks of eggs well beaten. Cool. Fold in egg whites beaten stiff. Add vanilla. Turn into buttered baking dish and bake in moderate oven 25 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
