Muriel Gallagher, ATIantic 6-9039 ROSARY-ALTAR SOCIETY Father Trapp of the Augustin- ian Orde r in Rome , who is on the Canonization Board and speaks five languages , was guest speaker at the meeting of the Rosary-Altar Society held August 7 after the Novena to St. Ann in the church auditorium. In the twenty-minute talk given by Fa- ther Trapp, he compared the Catholic church after the fall of Rome with the present time. Fa- ther Trapp also said that many recommended for Sainthood ; out of 100 persons five may be can- onized. He also spoke of many European countries , the people and their hardships. There wa also a short question and answer period. Mrs. Frances Brazel continued with the business of the meeting after the Rev . Mario G. Cinque , the new spiritual moderator , open- ed the meeting with a prayer. -^Father Cinque thanked the Ro- sarians who worked on the bazaar and on the Father LeTure dinner dance held recently. Both affairs were successful. Events planned are the cake sale to be held August 27 by the Rosary-Altar Society after every mass. Meeting date for September has been changed from Labor day to the following day, September 5. Enrollment ceremony for new and old members will take place October 7 at 6 p. ni in St. Joseph the Worker R. C. Churc h , followed by the installation din- ner to be held in the Pine Grove Inn , East Patchogue. Mrs. Vincy Maler , chairman. A Barn dance is scheduled for October 21 in the school auditor- ium. There will be square dancing with costuming optional. Mrs. Marion Verity is chairman. New members presented were Mesdames Marie Mauro and Bar- bara Fridr ' ch both of Bourdois Avenue. CUB PACK PICNIC Cub Pack 265 , North Bellport are planning a family picnic to be held August 20 in Heckscher State Park.
