Dated : Patchogue , Now York September 19, 1961 By Order of the Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven , Robert A. Cooney Town Clerk LEGAL ADVERTISEMENTS Continued from page 1 , this section damaged , he said. There was a leng th y discussion about the prob- lem created by race weekends and it was agreed to try to ascertain some p lan during the winter months to be prepared for next year ' s events. It was decided to write the proper official and express thanks for auxiliary patrolmen who were at the dock over the race weekend and also to William Malone , dock- master , for his hel p on his own time. It was reported that Roger Hamlyn was to return to work September 18 and it was decided that the Community Center will be open for bowling October 16 with Mr. Haml yn in charge . It was agreed to change the lock on the front door on the 18th and to put a notice in The Long Island Advance regarding this so organ- izations and individuals would be notified to obtain new keys at the Village Office. October 2 was set as the date for the Winter garbage schedule to become effective , October 3 and 4 to be Fall Cleanup Days , Octo- ber 29 to be the date for chang- ing the traffic light to operate from 7 a. m. to 8 p. m. and No- vember 1 set as the deadline for the return of guest tags for vil- lage beach facilities in order to receive the deposit back. A quotation for a new roof for the house at the 12th green at the golf course from Step hani & Beck for $242 was read and the board decided to have this work done. A letter from Irving Miller , public accountant , slated that he had examined the books and ac- counts of Martha R. Houston as tax collector for the fiscal year ending May 31 and found them correct and properlv accounted for. The Board of Fire Commission- ers requested permission to erect metal markers similar to a snow fence post to mark the location of each hydrant for the Winter and permission was granted , provided the Fire District assumes respon- sibility for these and the installa- tion and removal. A letter from the Supervising Principal of Central School Dis- trict 4 requested the board to sup- ply the findings of an engineering study regarding the drainage on Kreamer Street. If this study re- veals that Kreamer Street is be- ing flooded by waters from school propert y and if the Village Board requests the Board of Education to take steps to provide for the disposal of these waters , it is be- lieved that the school board will have it within its power to include two dry wells in its budget. Mayor Harry F. Bedell as a licensed en- gineer was designated to answer this letter. Letters of application for work with the Village were received from Mrs. Edith Sczerb o , 40 Coun- try Club Road, and Ronald Fren- ger , Sayville , and filed for future reference.
