The regular meeting of the Parent-Teacher As- sociation will be held 8 p. m. No- venilbor 1 at the Lynwood Avenue School , followed by Open House, for the parents of the kindergar- ten to the second grades and inclu- ding 3-1. After the open house there will be a Book fair where the parents may purchase boods for as little as 29 cents. The eve- GIRL SCOUT HIK I5 The Girl Scouts of Trooo 14 participated in a hike recently. Aleeting at the home of their lea- der , Mrs. Edward Betz , and equip- ped with a nose bag lunch and a good pair of walking shoes , the girls walked to their destination , the Rega l Estates. Their purpose was two-fold — to visit Airs. Mar- tin Regal who is home afte r being confined to the hospital and to use the grounds., offered for their day ' s enjoyment by Mrs. Regal , who has been very active in scout- ing. The troop brought a gift and sang songs for Mrs. Regal , aftvr which Kathy De Pierro and Susie Beta laid trails for the other scouts to follow. They next pro- ceeded to identify leaves and trees as part of their prepared nature study. A fire was built ind tne girls prepared a scout treat called S-ome Mores , consisting of Hershey bars , graham crackers and marsh- mallows. They then hiked back to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Rocco Giuseffi and children from the Bronx were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alercadante , Sr., of dOl Powell Avenue , Farmingville. Mr. and Airs. Walter Bernhart of Morris Avenue , Holtsville, held a buffe t dinner Saturday for their daughter Margaret' s sixteenth birthday at the Holtsville Com- munit y Hall , on Waverly Avenue. Margaret' s father played old time tunes on the piano as the guests joined in an old fashioned sing. Joseph Gardner and Allen Davis played their guitars for dancing. Recorded popular music was also played. Holtsville , where Frank Sayers will give a brief discussion on the \Physical Fitness of Your Child. \ After the talk the parents will visit the classrooms of their children to inspect and examine the class work. For them , a book fair will also be held and refreshments served. The PTA will hold a Holiday dance at the Suffolk House in Lake Ronkonkoma on Dec. 9 , and an award will be given. The pro- I ceeds from the dance will go to the ' Sachemi Scholarship Fund. BROWNIE TROOP 58 Brownie Troop 58 had their first meeting Tuesday at the Lynwood Avenue School. Mrs. Rita Finne- gan is the leader for the group and Mrs. John Hyman is co-leader. BOY SCOUT M EETING No meeting will be held Hallo- ween eve by the Boy Scout Troop 80 but the following week they will resume meetings at the regu- lar time and place. CUBS' BUS TRIP Cub Scout Pack 80 travelled by bus Saturday with their leaders for a guided tour through the Suf- folk Police Headquarters. The boys were most impressed by the Radio Room with its air of quiet urgency. The boys were \finger- printed\ for souvenir purposes by one of the detectives . -nd were shown the inside of a prowl car. The ladies had a suc- cessful spaghetti and meatball supper October 17. A committee was also p icked for the Christmas dinner. The girls who are spon- sored by the church planted two yellow rose bushes on the grounds of the church , in honor of the Fiftieth Jubilee of the Girl Scouts.
