Halloween games vv°re p layed and refreshments ser- ved by the girls. This group also went bowling Friday after school , at the Oakdale Alleys to compete for their bowling badge. On October 25 , Neighborhood 1 Girl Scout council met at the local firehouse for its quarterly meet- ing with Chairman Mrs. William Higgins. Mrs. Nicholas Maletta , fi- nancial chairman for Bayport' s drive, reported that $300 has been collected toward the $500 quota. Mrs. Margaret Doyle , Blue Point iinancial chairman , reported that Blue Point had not finished its drive as yet. Mrs. Edward Divis, Senior Girl Scout leader, reported that a Senior Girl Scout must first finish her five point program among other requirements to be eligible to become a Mariner Gild Scout. Mrs. William Clark of Blue Point is the leader of the Mariner troop. Josette Mondanaro , Senior Girl Scout , who was sent for a two-week campership to Twin Falls Camp, Pa., in August , gave a review of her stay and all of her activities at the Advanced Waterfront training session she attended. Miss Mondanaro is also Brownie consultant for the Blue Point Brownies. John Hass of Commack showed a film on mus- cular dvstrophy and told of the disease. Mrs. Barton Olson ' s troop Will distribute the containers in Bayport business stores. On Monday afternoon , First Year Brownie Troop 101 held an investiture service at the elemen- tary school under the direction of the leaders , Mrs. James Walsh and Mrs. Daniel Hughes. Brownies who were invested were Pamela Barnett , Brooke Furman , Renee La Cour, Nancy Moore , Deborah Rohm , Laurri Runell , Lydia Eche- verria and Alice Arden. Refresh- ments were served by the children to their parents who were their guests at this event. Middle road and Mrs. J^pson ' s parents , Mr. and Mrs. George Jep- son , formerly of Bedford , Mass., and Who are now making their home in Bayport with their son and daughter-in-law , spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Milton Jepson ' s son-in-law and daughter , Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mc Leod , in Brooklyn. On Sunday a famil y reunion was held at the home of the Jepsons ' son and daughter-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. John Jepson and daug hter. Nancy Ellen , at Berkley Heights , N. J., with all of the Jepsons and Mc Leod families in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. William Williams of Third Avenue returned home recently from Great Lakes Naval Training Station , 111., after atten- ding the graduation of their son , Lawrence Williams , from boot training. He returned home with them for a 14-day furlough and returns this week to attend elec- tronic school at the Training Sta- tion. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Williams had as their dinner guests their son , Lawrence , and Mr . and Mrs. Frank Hunt and son , William Hunt of Levittown , who also graduated from boot training at Great Lakes Training Station. The Home Extension Unit will meet Wednesday at the local fire- house from 10 to 3 p. m. for the first lesson on projects for the Christmas Workshop with local leaders. CHURCH NEWS At the Methodist Church at 3 p. m. Sunday, an open Forum was held on the. building fund drive and building program of the church Monday through Friday meetings will be held at the church for instructions and final plans for the fund drive which will culminate with a Loyalty dinner at the local firehouse at 5 p. m. next Sunday. There will be guest speakers and all of the fami'ies of this church will be participating in some way to make their fund drive a success. The M Y F Groups met Sunday night.
