Mirabelli also expressed her gratitude to the members for helping at the recent rummage sale. Mrs. Ella Mae Costello , co- chairman of count y rehabilitation , told of the Christmas g ift shop to jbe ' held at Northport Veterans Hospital , starting at 9:30 a. m. December 1. Members were asked to donate gifts at the next meet- ing. Mrs. Bertha Fontanetta spoke on the importance of National Se- curity and Civil Defense . Mrs. Dorothy Trueit , unit chair- man of the Pan American commit- tee , said that the country to be studied this year is Columbia. Mrs. Calfa introduced the guest speaker , Mrs. Lois Ormsby from the Patchogue Library, who spoke of the unseen functions of the library and how it aids our everyday living, whe- ther for educational purposes or reading pleasure. Mrs. Eileen Measor , chairman , discussed the Women ' s Annual In- ternational dinner to be held at Moose Hall , from 6 to 8 p. m. today. Many out-of-town members and friends representing their lodges and chapters were present. After the meeting a buffet supper was held in the rumpus room.
