I Fifth Squad Detective Sgt. Rob- ert McCloary said the men ' r ar- rests explain 14 burglaries in re- cent months from Huntington to Southold. From $5 , 000 to $n , U0O worth of goods was stolen in the burglaries , police said. ' Specifically, the men are being charged with third degree burg l- ary in the theft November 15 or 16 of $1 , 700 in tools from Zeidler Motors , Inc. on Route 112 , Med- ford , police said. The defendants were identified bv Fifth Squad detectives as Al- fred Korn , 22 , of 110 Marshall Drive , Selden; Charles Smith , 20 of 55 Audry Lane, Centereach , and William Daniel Track , 18, of 90 Helen Street , Center Moriches. Discover Tools According to police , Mr. Korn was arrested November 28 in Do- ver by Delaware State Police. Two other men , who are not implicated in the case , were riding with Mr. Korn when his 1954 vehicle was stopped for an investigation , police said , and automobile repair tools were found in the trunk. The Del- aware police teletyped a descri p- tion of the tools with identifica- tion marks to Suffolk County police headquarters in Hauppauge police said , and the s t o 1 e i tools reported missing by the property bureau p laced them at Fifth Precinct. Detectives John Gill of the Main Squad and Thomas Meyer of the Fifth Squad went November 22 to Dover to ar- rest Mr. Korn and return him to Suffolk County. After questioning, police said Mr. Korn revealed the names of the other two defendants. Sixth Squad Detectives Thomas Stanton and Frank LoDestro arrested Mr. Track November 30 at his sister ' s home in East Meadow. On the same day the two detectives ar- rested Mr. Smith at his Cente- reach home. Mr. Korn was arraigned Novem- ber 30 before Justice Salvatore and was held in lieu of $2,501 bail. Both Messrs. Smith and Trac ' were arraigned December 1 before Justice Larse i. Mr. Track was re leased in $1 , 000 bail and Mr Smith was held in lieu of $1 , 00( bail.
