Tuthill CHURCH G ET-TOGETHER Tne Ladies ' Aid Society of the Pie-bytenan Church held a success- ful meeting and get-together last Tuesday afternoon with 13 mem- bers and guests present. \ lsitors welcomed were Mrs. Rob -it Clouuman and her mother- in-law , Mrs. Gracia Cloudman , who have lented Major Bootes ' hcu.s e on Halsey Lane , after com- ing from South Carolina. Following the devotional period , a business sessum wa- - conducted b . \ the president , Mrs. Sollace Good. After considerable discussion in legard to church decorations ior the Christmas services, a commit- tee, headed by Mrs. Willis B. Tut- b li. was appointed to arrange to. poinsettias and other such de- viations, including* the traditional cedar and pine. Donations of money toward this project were made by the members present. In order that the chapel kitchen may be more adequately equipped it was voted to purchase a 50-cup cofiee perecolator , for which money wa- > donated at the meet- ing by one of the members. Attention was called to a report which the societ y is asked to pro- w-it at the annual church meeting to be held in the near future. A financial statement made at the yeai ' s ending, presented to the gathering, was very encourag ing. Also . Mr s . AiiT-lie S. Seventy fellow workers of hei own division and representatives of many other divisions of the laboratory attended the dinner as well as her daug hter , Mrs. Daniel j M. Cooney of Westbury, and her son and daughter-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Collins of Mastic Beach. Mrs. Joseph DiPerri of West- bury and former employes of the laboratory were present , as well as special guests , Mrs. Michael Graniello and Mrs. Bart Giuliano of East Patchogue , accompanied by their husbands. Mrs. Collins was presented with a beautiful corsage of small vari- colored mums and two matching pieces of Samsonite luggage and a leather book of accounts of travel. Saturday at the com- munity house on We^t End Avenue. All children residing in the area up to 12 years of age are invited to attend. Decorations will include a large tree glittering with lig hts , Christmas candles and a fireplace decorated with Christmas stockings. Music- will be furnished by the hi-fi play ing Christmas carols. In the evening, the organi- zation will hold a brief busi- ness meeting followed by their Christmas party. Refresh- ments will be served and music will be provided for dancing.
