Imran Ali was born at 8:52 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz., the first baby of the New Year at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. The Alis were heading for Huntington , their former residence , when Mrs . Ali' s lengthening labor pains indicated a change in plans. Mrs. Ali is shown at right with her son.
